Hongyu Zhang is a veteran semiconductor executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in System-on-Chip (SoC) & automotive chip design. As the founder and CEO of Chiplite Technology, Hongyu is pioneering the use of innovative Chiplet technology to develop computing platforms for smart vehicles. 

Previously, Hongyu served as the Head of SoC at Xilinx (AMD) in Silicon Valley, where he led the design and mass production of the 7nm automotive grade SoC-FPGA hybrid chip. He also led the first domestic automotive SoC team in China, growing it into a major supplier of navigation and infotainment SoC chips shipping over 10 million units per year.   

Majoring in Electronic Engineering, Hongyu graduated from Tsinghua University, one of the most prestigious universities in China. His unique blend of technical, operational, and entrepreneurial expertise has made Hongyu an influential leader in China’s burgeoning semiconductor industry.
