New thermal conductive Al die-casting alloys are developed. Compared with convention Al die-casting alloys, it has superior heat conductivity over 210W/mK. In addition, it has better cast-ability than pure Al. Instead of trial & error technique, new prediction methods by using thermodynamic simulation data are used to develop new alloys. At first, key parameters for heat conductivity and cast-ability are found. Second, database for each parameters are made by using thermodynamic simulation. Finally, criteria for prediction is found by comparing simulation data and experimental data. By using these prediction technique, it is possible to design and optimize new thermal conductive alloy having over 210W/mk efficiently.
