Allan Johnstone is a Principal Applications Engineer at AB Dynamics with responsibility for brake robots. Prior to joining AB Dynamics, he worked within Honda R&D as a Senior Project Engineer. During this time, he created a methodology to characterise brake feeling using brake robots. He utilised this method to develop mule car braking systems prior to development, the outcome of which can be seen on the ninth generation Honda Civic. He was also the Honda EU expert for vehicle assessment for pedal feel, supporting benchmarking, development evaluation and target setting for European models. In short Allan is a brake feeling expert.
