Deaglán Ó Meachair is a freelance brakes consultant, based in Ireland. His career to date has encompassed over two decades in Chassis Engineering. He has engineered the fastest, heaviest and most refined vehicles, meeting the demands of the world’s most discerning drivers.

For over a decade his professional focus has been electromechanical brake technology, particularly brake energy recovery systems and redundant brake systems. Together with his fundamental vehicle technology expertise allows him to combine new and unique functionality together with excellent brake feel, efficiency and performance.

During his career, he has worked exclusively on safety critical systems (mechanical, hydraulic and mechatronic) to bring new levels of technical innovation. He is widely published and has created multiple patents.

EuroBrake 22 marks a decade since his first contribution to the conference. As well as today’s paper, he will facilitate two sessions during this year’s program.
