Dr. Fan Li is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering (AAE), at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, HKSAR. Before joining AAE, she was a Research Fellow at Fraunhofer Singapore, and a Research Associate in Design and Human Factors Laboratory, Air Traffic Management Research Centre, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Dr Fan Li obtained a Bachelor's degree from Beihang University in 2013 and a master's degree and a doctoral degree from Nanyang Technological University in 2015 and 2020, separately.
Dr Fan Li’s research interest lies in proposing and/or adopting artificial intelligence techniques to enhance human factors and ergonomics studies, improve safety management, and provide guidelines for practitioners in the fields of transportation, including aviation, maritime, and road transportation. She has more than ten-year experience in human factors in both academics and industry and has published around 30 papers in human factors fields.
In 2019, she received the Award of Women @ Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. She has also been invited to serve as a reviewer and guest editor by several prestigious journals, such as Advanced Engineering Informatics, Journal of Navigation, and Behavior Research Methods.
