Jianping Wu is a Professor at Tsinghua University. He has 30 years research experiences on driving behavior and traffic simulation, and 15 years on autonomous driving and the simulation study. He has been responsible for more than 80 research projects funded by the EC, the Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, and other domestic and international funding bodies. 

He has published more than 350 papers in international academic journals. Professor Wu is an Academician of the Russian Academy of Engineering, the "Changjiang Scholar" Professor of the Ministry of Education of China. 

He is also a member of the 10th National Committee of the China Association for Science and Technology, a member of the WFEO Committee of Engineering and Environment, fellow of IET (FIET), fellow of China Simulation Federation, standing director of China Simulation Federation, and standing director of Autonomous Driving Working Committee of the China Highway and Transportation Society.
