Kai Struck joined the automotive industry in 2005 by performing a cooperative education program between the Adam Opel GmbH and Hochschule Bochum, graduating as a mechatronics engineer.
In 2010 he joined General Motors technical centers holding various global project engineering and supervising positions with a focus on chassis brake systems. In 2017 and 2018 he was leading the business management and transformation office for propulsion and chassis engineering during the acquisition of the Adam Opel GmbH from General Motors by the Groupe PSA. He returned to chassis, leading the PSA Central Europe brake and steering teams in the beginning of 2019.
Since the merger of the PSA and FCA Group in 2020 he has been leading the global foundation brakes engineering, which includes all relevant engineering activities concerning €7 brake emissions.
