Prof. Ke Xu is a Ph.D. supervisor and the vice-director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University. He has been awarded China National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists and Beijing Outstanding Young Scientist Program. He is also a member of Beijing Strategic Talents.
Xu’s main research interests include computer network architecture, cybersecurity, and blockchain system. Xu received the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, the second prize of National Technological Invention Award, the first prize at the provincial and ministerial level 4 times, Zhongchuang software talent award, and Young Scientist Award of China Computer Federation. He also serves as a director and fellow of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
Xu has published several representative articles in top international conferences and journals such as ACM SIGCOMM, ACM CCS, IEEE/ACM TON, and IEEE Communication Magazine. In the past five years, he has been granted more than 40 Chinese invention patents and more than 10 United States Utility Patents. Moreover, he is the author of “The Principles and Practice of Cyber Security”, “Advanced Computer Networks (2nd edition)”, “Algorithms Rule the World: The Invisible Order of the Intelligent Economy”, “New Cyber Economy”, “Computer Network Architecture-Design, Modeling, Analysis and Optimization”, and many other books.
