He received the  Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Korea in 2018. He was a research fellow at the University of Michigan from June 2018 to February 2020, and in March 2020 he was appointed assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kyungpook National University. His current research interests include vehicle dynamics and control, autonomous vehicle, battery electric vehicle, optimization, and control theory.
