Nicolas Strubel is a PhD student at the LaMcube laboratory in Lille, France. After his engineering diploma obtained from the Polytech Lille engineering school in France, he began to work in the brake domain.
In collaboration with Hitachi Astemo, the topic of his research deals with NVH issues on automobile brakes, focusing on investigation of effects of contact localizations on brake squeal. Namely, through numerical and experimental fields, his work tends to offer a better understanding of contact interfaces mechanisms involved into squeal, considering multiphysics and multiscales approaches.
