Priyadarshini Jayashree is a researcher working at the department of industrial engineering, University of Trento, Italy, focusing on the utilization of different kinds of aluminum wastes in various friction material formulations.
Priyadarshini’s doctoral work was focused on the tribological studies of advanced materials for high intensity braking applications, wherein, she tested and analyzed different kinds of composite friction materials and coated and uncoated counterface for racing and aerospace applications.
Following her doctoral work, during her postdoctoral term, she conducted extensive wear and emission analysis on novel friction material formulations containing different kinds of metallurgical slags. Her current work is co-funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University, and Research.
