Rick is Vice President and General Manager of KBAutosys America, an OE brake pad supplier headquartered in S. Korea. Rick helped open the Technical Center located in Farmington Hills, MI. A manufacturing plant is also under construction in Hogansville, Georgia.

Rick retired from General Motors in 2017 after 32+ years working in various brake engineering and management positions. He managed GM’s global brake lab activities, was the Technical Specialist for Brake Pads, and retired as the Global Lead Technical Integration Engineer for Brake Systems.

Rick holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and the University of Michigan.

Rick is on the EuroBrake Programme Development Committee, SAE Colloquium Executive and Technical Advisory Committees, and participates in several other ISO and SAE committees and task forces.
