ZU Sijie, Master of Engineering, professor-level senior engineer, vice president and CTO of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited. Zu used to serve as deputy chief engineer and general manager of the planning department of SAIC Motor Corporation Limited.
Currently, he is also vice president of China Society of Automotive Engineers, president of Shanghai Society of Automotive Engineers, executive director of China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award Foundation, vice chairman of China Integrated Circuit Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, member of the International Advisory Committee of China’s Automotive Technology Strategy, vice chairman of Council for Promotion of Transformation of Science and Technology Achievements, vice chairman of Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, in addition to positions in more than 10 academic organizations. He has won the China Auto Industry Outstanding Science and Technology Talent Award.
Having served in the automotive industry for nearly 30 years, Zu has developed solid technical expertise and industry foresight. As director of the technical committee of SAIC Motor Corporation, Zu built up the technical roadmap for SAIC’s new energy, intelligent and connected vehicles, digitization and other innovation initiatives. He also played the leading role in setting up strategies for capacity building of whole-car and key component R&D, building a series of China-leading, world-class core technologies and products in line with the “Four-New Trends” of the automotive industry, and building SAIC’s industrial chain and ecosystem in the fields of new energy, intelligent and connected vehicles and digitalization.
