Sylvain Delattre is a PhD student at Alstom Flertex Sinter. He graduated in 2015 from the Ecole Centrale de Nantes’s mechanics of materials engineering diploma, and in 2017 from the Université Paris Saclay’s inorganic chemistry Master diploma.

For the past 4 years, he has been working with the French Laboratory LaMcube on friction brake characterization. He first studied friction materials’ microstructure and physical properties, and now focuses on how brake materials modified through specific use conditions may affect friction mechanisms and performance.
