Tim graduated from the University of Southampton, England, with a degree in Engineering Acoustics & Vibration & a PhD in active noise and vibration control. 

Since then, he has worked for Federal-Mogul (now Tenneco) and has over 30 years’ experience in the friction industry, almost 20 years of which were in roles relating to NVH & Testing for Tenneco’s automotive friction business. 

Tim has been responsible for Tenneco’s Global Rail Engineering team for nearly 15 years; this role covers the product development, testing and customer application engineering for products sold under the FERODO & JURID brands.
