Tomohiro Yamashita studied Ship building and Marine Engineering at the Osaka University.

In 1997 he started at AISIN AW CO., LTD. as a Design engineer of Torque converter. Until 2017 Mr. Yamashita held the manager positions in the following departments: 5 years in Automatic Transmission Departments, and 4 years in Core component Engineering Department.

In 2017 Mr. Yamashita started at Schaeffler Japan Co., Ltd. in Business development Automotive Division as Senior Director. He managed strategic business plan and its process for automotive products.

Mr. Yamashita was appointed Vice President in R&D Automotive Division in 2019. Regional R&D for automotive products was his responsible.

Since 2020 Mr. Yamashita holds the position of CTO Asia Pacific located in Yokohama Japan, Member of the Executive Board Schaeffler Asia Pacific.
