SIAR's aims and objectives are to support the continuous formation and education of automotive engineers; encourage the national automotive industry to develop and increase efficiency and competitive power of the automobile manufacturing; stimulate the Romanian automotive research; collaborate with foreign automotive organisations; organise a yearly international conference under the FISITA patronage; get involved in qualification, audit testing and in development of standardisation; conserve the results and achievements of the past and support the tasks of the present in the automotive field.
