Review: FISITA World Mobility Summit 2024
The 2024 FISITA World Mobility Summit was held at the General Motors Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. A two-day agenda of keynotes and panel discussions provided an unparalleled thought leadership experience for the FISITA community.
Throughout the course of the event, we heard from an impressive list of industry experts from automakers, suppliers, and other mobility stakeholders, as well as analysts and independent thought leaders. We challenged opinions, agreed and disagreed respectfully, and shared and learned in equal measure as the 2024 FISITA World Mobility Summit considered the very relevant and current topic of electrification.
‘To EV or not to EV?’ was the Summit’s timely title. As we thank GM VP and FISITA President, Mike Anderson and his colleagues for welcoming and hosting us so well, we now look to continue the dialogue within the FISITA community via several actions taken away from the event. We would also like to thank the Summit speakers and sponsors, and the 2024 Summit Development Committee.
To EV, or not to EV? One thing was clear: what we are witnessing remains the foothills of a journey that will ultimately deliver maximum benefit of our future generations, as is the way of all advancing technologies.
We hope you enjoy this review of the 2024 FISITA Summit, which has been carefully written to respect the Chatham House rule that applied throughout the event. To learn more about FISITA, please get in touch—the FISITA community would welcome your contribution.
