Job Summary
The new era of FISITA creates a fresh vision and requirement regarding the leadership, engagement and co-ordination of the international technology of mobility community. With a highly relevant cadence and agenda of work developed in alignment with the priorities of our membership community, FISITA is set for significant growth.
The Head of Industry Engagement will network, engage, and build awareness of the relevance of FISITA’s new-era strategy within the mobility systems industry, lead the work of advancing engagement with and between current Corporate Members, and collaborate with member-leaders and colleagues in developing and delivering the digital and in-person engagement activities which retain current members and attract increasing numbers of companies to join our community.
The role holder will also make a significant contribution to the FISITA team focus in creating new relationships with the national engineering society membership and work with the CEO in developing a new network for academia within the international FISITA community.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the international industry coordination strategy, delivering high levels of FISITA visibility and non-member industry engagement, promoting the tangible benefit and opportunity aligned with Corporate Membership of FISITA
Lead engagement and collaborate in building FISITA’s relevance and growth via plans which utilise high-levels of engagement and relationship building with and between the areas of Corporate, New Technology, National Engineering Society and Academic Membership, achieving and excelling in delivery of the member retention aspirations of FISITA
Collaborate with technical, marketing, communications and sales colleagues to raise the profile, awareness and influence of FISITA, its objectives and workstreams with current members, the broader mobility systems industry and external stakeholders, though proactive network building and tactical engagement planning/delivery
Provide first class account management to members and ensure they maximise the benefits of FISITA and its products and services
Represent and promote FISITA, and its products and services to relevant stakeholders
Create, develop and sustain appropriate and progressive working relationships with all FISITA colleagues, member leaders and external service providers, leading the knowledge share and coordination of the technology of mobility strategy aligned with the vision, strategies, plans and commercial objectives of FISITA
Deliver collaborative contribution to the continued effort to promote FISITA on the international stage by representing the organisation and contributing as required and appropriate within the scope of this job description
Personal Specification
Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of technology, preferably automotive/mobility based, or able to demonstrate transferable skills in the area/experience of the technology of mobility
Experience in developing and delivering high-quality, influential, progressive and successful project work, from inception to completion
Familiar with coordinating a large, complex, international community network
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills including experience in successful collaboration in direct support to senior industry leaders in delivering organisational objectives
Proactive, self-motivated and self-policing team player. The ability to accept responsibility for own area of work, identifying critical elements and working in a ‘solution mode’ to achieve results in a fast paced work environment
Positive and flexible attitude to work, demonstrating team values and leadership qualities, particularly in added value development and new initiative creation, delivering tangible results
Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
Proven track record co-working across an organisation, willingness to contribute with a strong team ethic
Willingness to undertake international travel in order to deliver responsibility of the role
