Job Summary
The new era of FISITA creates a fresh vision and requirement regarding the leadership, engagement and co-ordination of the international technology of mobility community. The role of Technical Manager will support the Head of Technical in the development and delivery of the FISITA technical roadmap, engagement of the international, technical community, coordination of the expert member working groups, and all technical content creation.
The role holder will also contribute and collaborate in ensuring high quality technical dialogue and engagement for members, with strong outcomes and publications, while establishing important professional relationships with FISITA colleagues, members and stakeholders at all levels.
As a self-starter and with an inquisitive mind the Technical Manager will also be tasked in with key responsibilities in the development, advancement and sustainable, progressive delivery of the technical area of FISITA.
Key Responsibilities
Manage FISITA Corporate Member Working Groups ensuring effective documentation, planning and deliverable ownership. Support the Head of Technical in managing FISITA working groups, including but not limited to meeting organisation, preparation of documentation and delivery of strong engagement and progressive outcomes.
Manage the FISITA Digital Library in cooperation with FISITA colleagues and member leaders, ensuring the growth and relevance of the invaluable assets within the library.
Participate and collaborate in the Technical Paper production process supporting the Technical Committee and the wider FISITA organisation with prompt and effective delivery. Manage the publication of all FISITA events technical papers within the FISITA Digital Library, external journals and third-party publishing websites.
Support the Head of Technical with the creation and management of the FISITA database of technical expert and reviewers.
Actively participate in the growth and delivery of the FISITA technical programme and activities.
Support FISITA colleagues, teams and volunteers in the development and delivery of planned activities.
Create, develop and sustain appropriate and progressive working relationships with all FISITA colleagues, member leaders and external service providers, supporting the knowledge share and dissemination of the technology of mobility strategy aligned with the vision, strategies, plans and commercial objectives of FISITA.
Personal Specification
Knowledgeable and experienced in the area of technology, preferably automotive/mobility based, curious about new technologies and eager to learn.
Experience in managing multicultural teams/communities and influencing others to achieve.
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills including experience in successful collaboration in direct support to senior industry leaders in delivering organisational objectives
Proactive, self-motivated and self-policing team player. The ability to accept responsibility for own area of work, identifying critical elements and working in a ‘solution mode’ to achieve results in a fast-paced work environment
Positive and flexible attitude to work, demonstrating team values and leadership qualities, particularly in added value development and new initiative creation, delivering tangible results
Exceptional organisational and project management skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent literacy with office suite, knowledge of databases and programming languages would be an added benefit.
Proven track record of co-working across an organisation, willingness to contribute with a strong team ethic
Willingness to undertake international travel in order to deliver responsibility of the role
