Dr. rer. nat. Rainer Oskar Müller - Finkeldei, born on April 30, 1969, Director Center of-Competence Mechatronics Mercedes-Benz Trucks at Daimler AG and in this function also a member of the Daimler Trucks CASE Board and New Business Fund. After studying computer science at the University of Würzburg and the University of Texas at Austin and also obtaining his doctorate degree at the University of Würzburg, Dr. Rainer Müller-Finkeldei joined the former Daimler-Benz AG in 1995. 

From 1995 to 2003 he was development engineer and manager and responsible for the powertrain control electronics in the Daimler Research and Technology department. From 2003 to 2004 he was manager in the Electronics Development of Daimler vans. He then became Senior Executive Assistant until 2006 in the Daimler Trucks Product Creation. From 2006 to 2010 he was the Senior Manager of Mechatronics Integration and Validation. 

Since 2010 Dr. Rainer Müller-Finkeldei is director of the Center-of-Competence Mechatronics at Mercedes-Benz Trucks.
