Founded in 1951, Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. is located in Yulin, Guangxi, with engine manufacturing bases in Xiamen, Jining, Wuhu, and Suzhou. The company has total assets of RMB 16.6 billion, and over 9000 employees. In 1993, Yuchai was reformed to Joint Venture Stock Enterprise from Chinese Stock Enterprise. In 1994, Yuchai international stock was listed on the main board of New York Stock Exchange (stock code NYSE:CYD), which is the first enterprise from the Chinese domestic industry to be listed abroad.
With an annual engine production capacity over 800,000 units, Yuchai boasts the most complete product lineup in the industry at home, consisting of 22 series of mini/light/medium/heavy-duty diesel engines of 7 types, covering vehicle, vessel, construction machinery & equipment, agricultural machinery & equipment and power-gen, with power ranging from 37 - 1000 kw. The full lineup is up to Euro III emission standards or beyond. Yuchai is also known as the largest production base for internal combustion engines in China.
Yuchai possesses strong R & D ability, having over 1,200 technologists and a National Corporate Technical Center, a State-accredited Laboratory and a Postdoctoral Workstation, with the engine R & D center based in Nanning, Yulin, and has established cooperation with world-famous scientific institutions, and top universities at home and abroad, building a high-level R & D platform.
Yuchai R & D technology in combustion, low emission and mechanical design & development have reached international advanced level standards. Yuchai Launched the first Euro IV, Euro V and Euro VI diesel engine, the first sedan diesel engine in China and the world's first renewable pneumatic hybrid engine, making the company the first in China to launch Euro IV, Euro V engines into market in large quantities.
